James L. Adams

	James L. Adams, 33, of Carbondale, passed away at 11 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
	 James was a truck driver for Cox Trucking in Murphysboro.  He was a member of the Sesser Church of Christ.
	He was born July 18, 1968 at Fairfield, the son of Bob and Doris (Finney) Adams.  He married Cynthia R. Whitecotton on July 30, 1999 at Sesser and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Carbondale; parents- Bob and Doris Adams of Sesser; two sisters- Lisa Bartolotti of Thompsonville and Scarlett Maples and husband Barry of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers- Capt. Robert E. Adams Jr. of Ft. Riley, Kan. and Jeremy Adams and wife LeAnn of Marion; maternal grandmother- Clorean Finney of Oblong; father- and mother-in-law- Jacob and Doris Whitecotton of DuQuoin; sister-in-law- Nell Southard and husband John of New Baden, 10 nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.
	He was preceded in death by a son, James Ethan Adams.
	Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Bro. Gerald Cowan officiating.
	 Friends alled from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in Blairsville Cemetery.
	Friends may make memorials to the Sesser Church of Christ or the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
